Precautions for the Elderly to Prevent COVID-19

Precautions for the Elderly to Prevent COVID-19

For the past year, we have dealt with the COVID-19 pandemic, and our lives have never been the same. Social distancing measures and other health and safety protocols mean that our way of life has changed for the past year. We have done our best to keep the most vulnerable in our society safe.

While COVID-19 is asymptomatic, the most vulnerable populations in our society are highly susceptible to severe cases. Any provider of Home Health Care in Colorado is all too aware of the challenges the elderly face and how likely they are to be critical if infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

For us at Inspiration Home Health Care, LLC, we do everything we can to keep our clients safe. All our employees have had the training for COVID-19 precautions. Clients can expect that our employees will implement these precautions to the best of their abilities. We want our clients to feel safe and be safe, and we intend to keep it that way.

But what can each family do to help keep COVID-19 at bay within their households? Well, here are some ways that we, as an experienced provider of Caregiver Care, think can help families prevent infection:

  • Remember to always wash your hands with soap and water.
  • When you can, avoid going outside.
  • Hold off on attending social gatherings, especially with those outside your bubble.

The vaccine is just around the corner, and we might reach herd immunity soon. But this isn’t a reason for us to let our guard down because the people with most to lose are not us, but our loved ones who are vulnerable to this virus.
